High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS)

HIPS is a high-impact polystyrene most commonly used as a soluble support material for ABS (dissolves in limonene). Also suitable for standalone printing of prototypes and lightweight parts.

Recommendation

The Protype FILO drying cabinet dries filament and feeds it straight into the printer, so it does not pick up moisture again.

⚠ Damp filament causes bubbles and delamination and weakens the part. Dry filament before printing.
