HIPS is a high-impact polystyrene most commonly used as a soluble support material for ABS (dissolves in limonene). Also suitable for standalone printing of prototypes and lightweight parts.

Recommendation
Use the Protype FILO drying chamber for automatic filament drying and direct feed into the printer. This prevents re-absorption of moisture and ensures consistent print quality.
⚠ Insufficiently dried filament is the primary cause of defects: bubbles, delamination, and degraded mechanical properties. Always dry before printing.
